Glebe 100 Opening Night
7pm-10pm

Kick off your Homecoming weekend on Oct 14th at 7pm with a trip down memory lane at the Glebe 100th Anniversary Concert.

Come and celebrate the brightest stars from Glebe Collegiate over the years with the Alumni Stage Band, Choir and guest soloists.

We will feature a montage of video and live greetings plus reminiscences from celebrity famous Glebites.

Your master of ceremonies for the evening will be Luba Goy, a Glebe grad herself, who has received many awards and honours as a member of AIR FARCE, including the Governor General’s Performing Arts Award, The Women in Film and Television Award for outstanding achievement, a Gemini Humanitarian Award, 15 ACTRA Awards, a Juno, and a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame.

Since the Glebe Auditorium capacity is only about 1000 seats, buy your tickets now! This event is included in the weekend general registration ticket.

Decade Rooms & History Tour
9Am-3pm

Take a stroll down memory lane and revisit Glebe Collegiate as it once was!

Starting in its infancy in the 1920s and running through to the 2010s, the Glebe decade rooms promise to highlight the people, culture, and trends that made the school so memorable and special to those who walked its halls.

Let’s “Reach For the Top” as we view old photos and yearbooks, playbills and clippings, vintage uniforms and athletic and academic trophies. A walk back in time but what a time it was!

Glebe Art on Display
9Am-4pm

Glebe alumni artists and current students will have work on display. Take some time to check out the Gryphon talent.

PARADE
10Am-11AM

Walk to school one last time…

Plans are in the works for an alumni parade from Lansdowne to Glebe Collegiate. We’ll gather at 10, marshalled by Dai Chaplin (class of ’71) and his band of volunteers. We may have an actual band too! Details will be firmed up in the coming weeks. So stay tuned and be prepared to make your way back to school on Oct 15th, 2022. A barbecue will await on the back campus – something we never saw ‘way back then …

Student Council BBQ
10Am-2PM

This event is a fundraiser for the student council and requires a $10 add-on ticket.

Please join the 2022 Glebe Student Council as they offer up a delicious BBQ on the back campus. All proceeds will go to their special annual fundraiser for CHEO. Meet your friends and revive old memories in our very own field of dreams before heading to the Decade Rooms, History Tours or Glebe Alumni Concert and of course that evening’s stellar event: Dance, Dance, Dance.

GLEBE CONCERT BAND
3:00pm-4:30pm

More than 50 Glebe alumni, under the direction of Victor Jung (current music teacher and Glebe alumnus ’83) will come together in a concert band to perform a wonderful selection of music.

DANCE! DANCE! DANCE!
7pm-11pm

(must be 19 or over)
Over 200 tickets sold! Join the party before it is too late!

This will be a signature event and a night to remember! Dance goers will enjoy dancing in the Glebe gym to great music from across the decades offered by well known Ottawa DJ “Jamie C”.

Don’t miss a once in a lifetime chance to dance the night away with hundreds of Glebites and friends!

Feel free to bring on your Glebe gear, dress like your decade, or don your fancy pants and dancing shoes!

There will be a licensed bar.
Tickets are $30.

CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST
9am-11am

This event requires an $8 add-on ticket.

Join us in the caf for a continental breakfast with a selection of pastries, muffins, coffee, tea, juice and a variety of fruit.

Glebe Plays Ball
10am-1pm

Come one, come all… play or watch, it doesn’t matter… Glebe alumni are going to don their sports gear once more for a couple of rousing tournaments (specifics to be confirmed soon). Volleyball… flag football… softball. Once again the back campus and gyms will resound with cheers. The school even has a yoga studio now for the truly bendy among us. There may even be a cheerleader sighting if those girls from the 70’s can be persuaded to shout their ‘two bits’.

Closing Farewell
1pm

Celebrate the opening of the Outdoor Classroom by joining others for a closing farewell. Contribute something to the time capsule and maybe even find a celebratory snack.
